TransDirect wants to triple sales by 2022

In early 2021, 22-year-old Gilles Devriendt founded freight forwarding company TransDirect. A year later, he appears pleased to look back on his first year and announces steady ambitions for 2022.

"We gather drivers who own trucks into an international network and sell that capacity to our clients," explains Gilles Devriendt. "The charters may or may not use one of the trailers provided by TransDirect. The advantage of this working method: the motivation among charters is higher. Because they are self-employed and are paid fairly, correctly and on time. Moreover, they still enjoy the 'luxury' of a planning department that arranges the work on their behalf and can provide assistance with any problems if necessary."

This approach seems to be working as TransDirect achieved sales of 400,000 euros inits first year of existence. "In December, turnover peaked above 80,000euros," Devriendt said. "The goal for next year is therefore crystal clear: 1.5 million euro turnover and 5,000 transports carried out."
